PRIVACY

Privacy

Green Card Golf is in development and this site does very little: it explains the product and takes registrations. This page describes exactly what that involves.

What this site collects

Only what you type into one of the two forms, and only when you submit it.

  • Waitlist form — your name, your email address, and which of four descriptions fits you.
  • Club interest form — the club or facility, your name and role, your email address, and any note you add.

Submissions are handled by Netlify Forms, our hosting provider. We use them to contact you about Green Card Golf and nothing else. We do not sell, rent or share them, and there is no newsletter.

What this site does not do

  • No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising network.
  • No cookies are set by this site.
  • No account is created and no password is stored.

Typefaces

The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. That request tells Google your IP address and basic browser information, as any request to any server would. We do not receive that data.

Verification pages

When club or pro-shop staff scan a Green Card, the page at /v/ asks our register whether that licence number is currently valid. If it is, the page shows the holder's name, photo, licence number, issue date and status — and nothing else. No contact details, no scores, no round history, no club affiliation.

If the licence is not valid, the page shows a plain refusal with no personal information at all. That is deliberate: an invalid scan should never leak who someone is.

These pages are excluded from search engines and AI crawlers, and are never served from cache — a card is only ever trusted on a live check.

Where the data sits

Form submissions are stored with Netlify. The licence register runs on Supabase in the Sydney (ap-southeast-2) region. Both are overseas or cloud-hosted services, and both may process data outside Australia in the course of running their networks.

Keeping and deleting

We keep registration details until launch and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours at any time, before or after launch — just say so and we will.

Your rights

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@greencardgolf.app and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy question, you can escalate it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

This policy will change as the product launches — in particular once accounts, payments and the app itself exist. We will update the date below when it does.
