Questions, answered plainly.
If something here doesn't cover it, write to hello@greencardgolf.app and a person will reply.
THE CARD
What exactly is a Green Card?
A credential that says you've learned and been checked on the etiquette of the game: safety, pace, ready golf, bunkers, divots and the green.
Does it expire?
Cards are issued with a status. Active means valid now. If a card lapses or is suspended, verification says so immediately.
Can I keep it in Apple Wallet?
Yes. Add it once and it's there alongside your boarding passes, no app needed to show it.
What if I lose my phone?
Sign in on a new device and the card is reissued to it. The licence number stays yours.
EARNING IT
How hard are the checks?
Five questions per hole, pass at four. They test judgement, not trivia — no rulebook memorising.
Why can't I skip through the video?
On the first watch the scrubber is locked, so the card means the same thing for everyone. After that, jump around freely.
I failed a check. What now?
There's a short cooldown, then take it again. Nothing is recorded against you and there's no limit on attempts.
PRIVACY & VERIFICATION
What can a club see when they scan?
Your name, your photo, your licence number, the issue date and the status. Nothing else — no contact details, no scores, no history.
What if someone scans a code that isn't valid?
They see a clear "not valid" page with no personal information at all.
Is the site accessible?
We build to WCAG 2.2 AA: keyboard operable throughout, visible focus, AA contrast, and reduced-motion respected. Tell us where we fall short and we'll fix it.
